After the learning resource package development workshop on Mathematics Investigations (MI) held on August 6 – 8, 2019 in Pasig City, National Training of Trainers (NToT) was conducted on September 9 – 13, 2019 at Tagaytay Haven Hotel, Tagaytay City. This was participated in by Math Supervisors, Specialists and Teachers from Luzon Regions. 

Day 1 and Day 2 of the training discussed different topics shared by the resource speakers and presenters. The topics include Mathematics Investigations in the new K – 12 curriculum, Nature and Purpose of MI, Stages in the conduct of MI, Pattern Finding as a problem – solving strategy and other requisite skills in MI, Finite Difference Chart and other alternative method, Formulating Conjuctures using Mathematical Notations, Methods of Proof, Forms in Writing MI, Making Posters in MI, How to assess the MI Paper, Mathematical  Modeling (MM): Mathematical Investigations of Real – life Phenomena, and Culture and Arts in STEAM Investigation. 

Day 3 and Day 4 focused on the preparation for the Mathematics Congress. Participants were instructed to prepare and showcase MI Projects in a form of posters and PowerPoint presentations. 

Day 5 started with the management of leaning followed by evaluation of the 4 – day activity. A workshop on the development of harmonized multiplier effect plan for implementation was done. The Luzon group agreed to conduct roll out in their respective regions and organize a Regional Mathematics Congress.
