Mandates of the Teacher Education Council

The intent of RA 11713, or the “Excellence in Teacher Education Act,” is to strengthen teacher education in the country.

This is done through 3 key points:

      • Enhancing the Teacher Education Council (TEC)
      • Establishing a scholarship program for students in the teacher education program
      • Institutionalizing the National Educators’ Academy of the Philippines (NEAP)
